Online Teaching During the COVID Pandemic
Organising and running the Medical Faculty’s digital teaching in 2020/21 — from a standing start.
When the pandemic halted in-person teaching in March 2020, we helped the faculty leap into digital: in Zoom trainings with up to 50 participants per session we prepared lecturers from surgery, pathology, anatomy and many other disciplines for online teaching.
In the following semesters we supported the faculty’s roughly 900 lecturers daily from 7:30 am to 8 pm in two dedicated broadcast centres — and developed new formats with the institutes, such as virtual microscopy and the live-streamed microbiology practical.
For this commitment MeDocs received the University of Münster Student Award 2022.
